Thomas Kelly
When Thomas Kelly went to work for Bob Rockwell — the world's leading collector of Carder-Steuben glass — in 1982, he had no idea that glass would end up playing such a major role in his life. After working with Rockwell for several years, Kelly was given the opportunity to learn from two master artists: Lino Tagliapietra and Fritz Dreisbach who educated and influenced him. This helped Kelly find his own voice in glass, which has continued to develop as his skills and aesthetic sensitivity have been honed. Thomas and his Vitrix Glass Studio are committed to uncompromising quality and craftsmanship. "Glass always challenges you. I'm obsessive about bringing craft and design together to give each piece its own character." |
